About Windgap Foundation
Established over 70 years ago, a group of parents started the Windgap Foundation to provide education and opportunities to their children with intellectual disabilities.
A not-for-profit, their purpose is to inspire and create opportunities for those with an intellectual disability and improve their quality of life by supporting them and increasing community awareness.
At Windgap, participants and their families are provided with an array of programs and services dedicated to providing the best in care, support, and empowerment for adults with disabilities.
Accru Felsers and Windgap
Accru Felsers has worked with Windgap for over a decade by providing professional services and volunteering. We share a mutual core value, ‘Caring’, which we uphold in our workplace and our broader community.
On the 22nd of March 2024, Accru Felsers had the wonderful opportunity to work alongside Windgap Participants, spending a day creating music and singing songs at one of Windgap’s Day Programs, bowling at Mascot Bowling Alley, and hosting the Participants at the Horse Stables at Centennial Park, all in effort to raise community awareness, breaking misinformed preconceptions of what people are capable of achieving and giving back to our local community. We rise together by lifting others and we proudly support Windgap.
